Progress Report Night (Wednesday Dec. 3, 2014) 2:00 - 5:00 P.M.

 

We will be conducting a progress report night for all parents to come and speak with teachers about the students performance with their academics.
I am formally inviting all parents to come and take advantage of this time to bring up any concerns or just to check up on how the students are performing in their classes.

3rd Six Weeks (Week 4)

Welcome Back Everyone 

It is time to get off vacation mode and continue working on your Science Fair Projects. You only have this week to complete your Display Boards, so take advantage of the time I am giving you in class to finish the project.

Bring any required materials to class in order to decorate and glue the required typed texts.

If anyone is still missing the Characteristics of Living Organisms Quiz speak with me so we can schedule your missed quiz.

Monday:    ·         Science Fair Project Work Day o   Continue to assemble & Decorate display boards

Tuesday: ·         Science Fair Project Work Day o   Finish typing Purpose, Hypothesis, and Materials o   Begin typing  Data/Results/Analysis o   Continue work on display board

Wednesday: ·         Science Fair Project Work Day o   Continue typing required text o   Complete Experiment

Thursday: ·         Science Fair Project Work Day o   Continue working on Display Board o   Must have most of the text complete and typed ready to glue on display board

Friday: ·         Science Fair Project Work Day o   Final day to complete Science Fair Display Board ·         Should have all required information on the Display Board or ready to glue on the display board.

Eukaryotic Cell 3-Dimensional Model

This project will replace your lowest quiz grade.

Requirements:

1.     Be creative and create a 3-Dimensional model of a Eukaryotic cell

2.     Model must be 3-Dimensional

3.     It must contain all of the structures listed of a Eukaryotic Cell

a.     Nucleus

b.     Cytoplasm

c.      Mitochondrion

d.     Endoplasmic Reticulum

e.     Golgi Apparatus

f.       Cell/plasma membrane

g.     Ribosome’s

4.     Due Date is Monday, November 10^th

5.     No late projects will be accepted as grades are due by Monday night.

Grading Breakdown:

·        80% is determined by content accuracy

·        20% is determined by students creativity & organization

·        Total attainable score of 100%
